Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans and retirement benefits in compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement applications, including calculations and benefit distributions
- Conduct audits of pension records to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Respond to complex employee inquiries regarding retirement benefits and plan provisions
- Prepare detailed reports on pension fund performance and compliance metrics
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams on policy updates and procedural changes
- Utilize specialized pension management software for data analysis and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pension administration or federal benefits
- Knowledge of federal retirement systems (TSP, FERS, CSRS)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or SHRM-CP designation required
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
