Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans and retirement accounts according to OPM guidelines
- Conduct eligibility determinations and benefit calculations for TSP and FERS
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations (ERISA, 5 U.S.C. Chapter 83)
- Respond to complex employee inquiries regarding retirement planning
- Collaborate with HR teams to resolve benefit discrepancies
- Prepare quarterly reports for OPM and congressional oversight
- Implement process improvements using modern HRIS systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension/benefits administration experience
- Federal HR certification (SHRM-SCP or PHR preferred)
- Expert knowledge of FERS, TSP, and CSRS systems
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, Oracle HCM)
- Ability to handle sensitive data with strict confidentiality
- Strong analytical skills for complex benefit calculations
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal clearance
