Responsibilities
- Analyze and process pension calculations for federal retirees, ensuring 100% accuracy in accordance with federal guidelines.
- Review and interpret complex federal pension plans and ERISA regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provide expert guidance and support to employees regarding eligibility, vesting, and benefit distribution.
- Collaborate with the legal and finance departments to resolve complex benefit discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all pension transactions and employee inquiries.
- Prepare and submit required federal reporting documents and annual audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, human resources, or a related federal sector role.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) and federal retirement systems.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
