Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process weekly retirement benefit payments with zero processing delays
- Conduct eligibility reviews and retirement counseling for federal employees
- Maintain accurate pension records using FedHR systems
- Collaborate with OPM to resolve complex retirement benefit inquiries
- Develop retirement education materials for federal workforce
- Conduct annual pension plan audits and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Federal HR certification (SHRM-SCP or PHR preferred)
- Proficiency in FedHR and HRConnect systems
- Knowledge of TSP and FERS retirement systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance
- Ability to handle confidential employee data with discretion
- U.S. citizenship required for federal position
