Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS with precision and regulatory compliance
- Conduct complex retirement benefit calculations and scenario modeling for diverse employee profiles
- Develop and deliver comprehensive retirement planning workshops and one-on-one counseling sessions
- Collaborate with HR departments to ensure seamless pension integration during employee transitions
- Monitor legislative changes and update plan documentation to maintain regulatory alignment
- Lead audit preparation and respond to OPM/IRS inquiries regarding pension operations
- Design and implement data-driven strategies to enhance retirement readiness among federal employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension plan administration or federal benefits experience
- Federal Retirement Benefits Certification (FRBC) or SHRM-SCP designation required
- Expertise in ERISA, TSP regulations, and federal retirement systems
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret complex pension regulations
- Strong presentation skills for delivering retirement planning workshops
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
