Responsibilities
- Administer pension plan operations including contributions, distributions, and participant communications
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and annual reporting requirements
- Conduct benefit calculations and retirement eligibility reviews
- Develop and implement pension plan educational programs for employees
- Collaborate with investment advisors to monitor fund performance
- Manage pension plan databases and maintain accurate participant records
- Prepare quarterly reports for county commissioners and audit committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of pension plan administration experience
- SPBC or CEBS certification preferred
- Proficiency with pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, AdminPro)
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Nevada pension laws
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to complex financial details
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for stakeholder interactions
