Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of federal pension inquiries, including processing applications and calculating benefits.
- Ensure strict compliance with OPM (Office of Personnel Management) regulations and state pension laws.
- Conduct regular audits of pension records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal departments to resolve complex benefit issues.
- Prepare detailed monthly and annual reports on pension fund status and liability.
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal employees regarding their retirement benefits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal benefits administration or public sector finance.
- Strong understanding of pension plans, retirement systems, and federal compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
