Responsibilities
- Manage federal pension plan enrollment, disbursements, and record-keeping systems
- Ensure compliance with federal retirement laws (FERS, CSRS, TSP) and ERISA regulations
- Conduct complex benefit calculations for retirement, disability, and survivor claims
- Collaborate with HR departments across federal agencies on pension policy implementation
- Respond to high-priority benefit inquiries during night shift hours
- Prepare quarterly compliance reports for OPM and GAO
- Train federal employees on retirement planning tools and resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of pension administration experience
- Federal HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) required
- Advanced proficiency in federal benefits software (e.g., BENEFITS, HRIS)
- Knowledge of FERS/CSRS regulations and TSP procedures
- Night shift availability (6 PM - 6 AM, rotating weekends)
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
