Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end processing of federal pension applications and retirement claims.
- Analyze federal payroll data to ensure accurate pension calculations based on service years and salary history.
- Conduct audits of pension records to maintain compliance with federal regulations and agency policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal retirees and employees regarding benefits inquiries.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to resolve complex pension discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in federal retirement legislation and internal procedural updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or federal HR.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA regulations and federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of confidentiality.
