Responsibilities
- Research and analyze federal healthcare legislation affecting veterans in Arizona
- Develop policy briefs for congressional committees and VA leadership
- Coordinate with VA medical centers in Phoenix and Tucson on implementation
- Represent VA at stakeholder meetings with veteran service organizations
- Monitor legislative trends and recommend policy adjustments
- Prepare testimony for congressional hearings and oversight committees
- Manage cross-functional task forces on veteran benefits modernization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years federal policy development experience
- Deep knowledge of veterans' healthcare systems and VA benefits
- Expertise in Arizona state-federal healthcare initiatives
- Proficient in legislative analysis and regulatory impact assessment
- Secret clearance or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Experience with federal grant management and compliance
