Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulatory frameworks to develop evidence-based policy recommendations
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with government agencies, community organizations, and industry partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, impact assessments, and implementation roadmaps for executive leadership
- Monitor emerging policy trends and best practices across state governments nationwide
- Collaborate with budget analysts to assess fiscal implications of proposed policy changes
- Represent the agency in intergovernmental committees and legislative hearings
- Mentor junior policy staff and oversee research projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in state or federal government policy analysis
- Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Deep understanding of Indiana's legislative process and governmental structure
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Advanced proficiency in policy analysis software (e.g., SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Valid Indiana driver's license and ability to travel statewide as needed
