Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy analyses on veterans' healthcare and benefits legislation
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to assess program effectiveness
- Prepare detailed briefing papers and recommendations for senior leadership
- Collaborate with congressional offices and federal agencies on policy implementation
- Monitor legislative developments and regulatory changes affecting veterans
- Present findings to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and briefings
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces to address systemic policy gaps
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of federal or public sector policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Deep understanding of veterans' services and federal regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Experience with legislative research and stakeholder engagement
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing deadlines
