Responsibilities
- Analyze complex healthcare legislation and regulatory proposals to assess potential impacts on California communities
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and recommendations for senior leadership review
- Coordinate with state and local agencies to implement federal healthcare programs
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support policy development
- Represent the department at interagency meetings and stakeholder forums
- Monitor compliance with federal healthcare regulations and reporting requirements
- Develop training materials for state partners on federal program guidelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of federal or state government policy analysis experience
- Expertise in healthcare policy and healthcare delivery systems
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance frameworks
- Knowledge of California healthcare landscape preferred
