Responsibilities
- Analyze federal legislation and regulatory impacts on homeland security initiatives
- Develop policy recommendations for executive leadership and congressional stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on emergency response protocols
- Prepare detailed briefing materials and policy briefings for senior officials
- Monitor emerging threats and assess policy effectiveness using data analytics
- Lead interagency working groups on cybersecurity and border security
- Maintain compliance with federal reporting requirements and FOIA guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in federal government policy analysis or similar role
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Expertise in quantitative analysis and policy evaluation methodologies
- Strong writing skills with demonstrated policy brief production
- Experience with federal budget processes and grant management
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Knowledge of homeland security frameworks and relevant legislation
