Responsibilities
- Develop and implement federal program strategies aligned with VA mission objectives
- Analyze complex regulations (VA, OMB, GAO) to ensure compliance across operations
- Coordinate interagency collaborations with federal/state/local partners
- Lead performance reporting using federal data systems (e.g., VBA, VHA)
- Manage grant funding cycles and resource allocation for veteran services
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning for program integrity
- Train staff on federal policy updates and procedural changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years federal program management experience
- Proficiency with federal reporting systems (e.g., MAX, IBIS)
- VA-specific knowledge of healthcare or benefits programs
- Security clearance eligibility (ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation experience
- Excellent written/verbal communication for stakeholder engagement
- Project management certification (PMP or similar) preferred
