Responsibilities
- Oversee federal compliance programs for maritime security operations at Port of Long Beach
- Coordinate interagency partnerships with CBP, USCG, and local law enforcement
- Analyze security protocols and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Prepare detailed federal compliance reports for congressional review
- Lead training programs for port personnel on federal regulations
- Manage grant funding for security infrastructure projects ($2M+ annual budget)
- Conduct audits of security systems and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or related field
- 3+ years experience in federal compliance or security management
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in federal grant management systems (e.g., SAM.gov)
- Knowledge of maritime security regulations (MTSA, ISPS Code)
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts and emergency deployments
