Responsibilities
- Develop and implement federal program initiatives aligned with departmental goals and veteran services
- Analyze policy impacts and recommend strategic improvements to veteran support programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure program compliance with federal regulations
- Prepare detailed reports and briefings for senior leadership on program performance metrics
- Manage grant allocations and budget oversight for assigned federal programs
- Conduct stakeholder outreach to build community partnerships for veteran services
- Monitor legislative changes and adapt program strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal, state, or municipal government operations
- Proficiency in federal procurement processes (FAR/DFARS compliance)
- Advanced analytical skills with experience in program evaluation and policy assessment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Experience with federal grant management and budget reporting systems
- Demonstrated commitment to public service and veterans' advocacy
