Responsibilities
- Oversee security protocols for commercial vessels and cargo operations at Port of Long Beach
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on emergency response planning
- Analyze intelligence reports and recommend security enhancements for maritime infrastructure
- Manage grant programs supporting port security technology upgrades
- Conduct compliance audits for federal regulations (CFR, 33 CFR 160)
- Prepare detailed briefings for senior leadership and congressional stakeholders
- Train port personnel on security procedures and threat mitigation
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or related field
- 3+ years federal government program management experience
- Expertise in maritime security regulations and port operations
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and threat analysis
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with report writing experience
- Valid California driver's license
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
