Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned federal facilities and grounds to deter unauthorized access and ensure a secure environment.
- Control access points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining strict entry logs.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, responding immediately to any alerts or discrepancies.
- Conduct regular inspections of doors, windows, and security equipment to identify and report maintenance needs.
- Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and activity logs for supervisor review.
- Provide emergency response assistance during night operations and assist visitors with inquiries.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; prior military or security experience is a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain alert during night hours.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must pass a background investigation, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods in various weather conditions.
