Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of federal facilities to enforce security protocols
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms or suspicious activities in real-time
- Screen visitors and personnel using access control systems and identification verification
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security documentation for compliance purposes
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Operate security equipment including metal detectors, X-ray machines, and communication devices
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter potential threats and unauthorized access
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory requirement for federal positions)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
- Proficiency in operating security technology and surveillance systems
- Ability to work flexible weekends and holidays without exception
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
