Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol VA facility grounds during night hours
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with law enforcement agenciesConduct access control verification for personnel and vehicles
- Complete detailed incident reports and security documentation
- Operate emergency response equipment including fire suppression systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend security improvements
- Maintain compliance with federal security regulations (FISMA, NISP)
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays consistently
- Physical ability to stand/walk 8+ hours and respond to emergencies
- Proficiency with surveillance technology and reporting software
- Strong communication skills and crisis management abilities
