Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security alerts during night shifts
- Conduct physical patrols of federal facilities per DHS protocols
- Operate advanced security equipment including biometric scanners and motion detectors
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed shift reports
- Coordinate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Enforce access control procedures for personnel and visitors
- Participate in quarterly security drills and training exercises
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Proficiency with surveillance technology and access control systems
- Ability to work independently during night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods during patrols
