Responsibilities
- Manage weekend patient intake and triage operations in compliance with federal healthcare standards
- Maintain electronic health records using VA-specific systems (VistA) with 100% accuracy
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during weekend hours
- Conduct weekly equipment inspections and safety compliance checks
- Support cross-departmental weekend operations including pharmacy and lab services
- Prepare weekend activity reports for Monday morning leadership briefings
- Mentor weekend staff on federal regulations and VA protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (federal position)
- Minimum 2 years healthcare or federal administrative experience
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA security clearance
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and federal healthcare regulations
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred for San Antonio patient population
