Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient appointments and medical records management using VistE system
- Process veteran eligibility and benefit verification documentation
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical administrative tasks during weekend shifts
- Manage patient flow and ensure HIPAA compliance in all interactions
- Respond to veteran inquiries regarding healthcare services and benefits
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support seamless care delivery
- Perform quality assurance checks on medical documentation
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 1 year healthcare administrative experience
- Proficiency in medical software systems (VistE/EHR preferred)
- Strong knowledge of VA healthcare benefits and processes
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a weekend shift environment
- Attention to detail with documentation and data entry
- Basic medical terminology knowledge required
