Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data to prepare comprehensive budget reports and forecasts
- Monitor departmental expenditures against approved budgets
- Develop financial models for capital improvement projects
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Collaborate with department heads on fiscal planning initiatives
- Ensure compliance with municipal accounting standards and regulations
- Present financial findings to leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of governmental or nonprofit financial analysis experience
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or PeopleSoft preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
