Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation in compliance with protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during complex emergencies
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Operate radio equipment and communication channels efficiently
- Train on NIMS/ICS protocols for large-scale incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Clear verbal communication skills with strong diction
- U.S. citizenship and valid Washington driver's license
- Pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy with MS Office proficiency
