Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop compelling grant proposals, narratives, and supporting budgets totaling 3-5 million annually
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with program officers and foundation representatives
- Analyze program outcomes and prepare impact reports for existing funders
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data and refine project narratives
- Manage grant application calendar and ensure timely submission of all proposals
- Stay current on funding trends and compliance requirements in the non-profit sector
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or related field
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with a 70%+ success rate
- Proven ability to secure grants from diverse sources (government, foundations, corporate)
- Expertise in developing complex budgets and financial narratives
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Strong research skills and proficiency in funding databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation)
- Experience working with non-profit organizations in Fresno County preferred
