Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light/heavy machinery including dump trucks, backhoes, and jackhammers
- Assist in park maintenance, landscaping, and facility upkeep projects
- Conduct safety inspections and enforce OSHA compliance protocols
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Complete detailed work logs and reporting documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of construction/maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Strong teamwork ethic and clear communication abilities
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
