Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties including loading, unloading, and staging construction materials.
- Operate light construction equipment, including backhoes, rollers, and skid steers, under supervision.
- Assist with street repair, patching, and drainage cleaning operations.
- Clear snow and ice from roads and sidewalks during winter months.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work site; remove debris and hazardous materials.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and traffic control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members on project progress.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Virginia Class C Driverβs License (CDL not required but preferred).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor labor in all weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
