Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and wand screenings for prohibited items
- Monitor security checkpoints to ensure compliance with TSA regulations and SOPs
- Respond to security alerts and coordinate with law enforcement during incidents
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining strict security protocols
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Participate in continuous training on evolving security threats and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory
- Minimum 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED
- Pass rigorous background investigation and security clearance process
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong communication skills and ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Basic computer literacy and aptitude for learning security technology
- Valid California driver's license (if required for position duties)
