Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 industry forecasts and emerging megatrends
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum computing, neural interfaces, and climate-tech solutions
- Analyze global tech patents and academic breakthroughs to identify disruptive opportunities
- Partner with product teams to prototype future-facing user experiences and interfaces
- Present strategic recommendations to executive board and investor stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists and organize quarterly innovation hackathons
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts impacting tech adoption timelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in tech strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation consulting
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier-1 tech journals
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or carbon capture tech
- Fluency in futures methodologies (e.g., horizon scanning, scenario planning)
- Experience securing $5M+ in innovation grants or VC funding
