Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market projections and company vision
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields including quantum computing, advanced AI, and biotechnology
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 5-10 year adoption potential
- Partner with product teams to translate strategic insights into scalable commercial solutions
- Establish KPIs for innovation success and track progress against future-state benchmarks
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders with data-driven insights
- Manage innovation incubation programs for early-stage future technologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in emerging technology adoption (quantum/AI/blockchain)
- Deep understanding of global tech trends and regulatory landscapes
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies
- Experience managing cross-functional innovation teams and budgets >$5M
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism or innovation strategy
- Strong network within tech innovation ecosystems (VCs, research institutions)
