- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive technologies with 2026+ potential
- Partner with product teams to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Present strategic briefings to investors, boards, and industry consortiums
- Manage $2M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Build and mentor a team of futurist analysts and technical strategists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or corporate innovation
- Proven track record scaling emerging tech from concept to commercialization
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains: AI, quantum, AR/VR, or synthetic biology
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business (PhD/MBA preferred)
- Published research or patents in technology forecasting or innovation management
- Experience with federal grant programs (DARPA, NSF) or international tech consortia
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex technical concepts
- Certification in technology foresight or strategic innovation (e.g., CFTE, Foresight Practitioner)
