Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and organizational goals
- Lead research initiatives on emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, biocomputing)
- Identify and evaluate disruptive startups for acquisition/partnership opportunities
- Present strategic technology briefs to C-suite executives and investors
- Build and mentor a team of futurists and technology analysts
- Drive innovation sprints for prototype development of 2026-ready solutions
- Analyze global tech policy implications and regulatory landscapes
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, or sustainable tech
- Proven track record of launching products with $10M+ revenue impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Experience scaling teams from 5 to 50+ professionals
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or similar peer-reviewed journals
