Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology strategy aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, biotech fusion)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Collaborate with C-suite to secure $50M+ R&D budgets for future-focused initiatives
- Present strategic recommendations to board members and industry consortiums
- Establish KPIs to measure technological adoption and ROI for 2026 deliverables
- Mentor a team of 8+ futurists and technology architects
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in C-suite or VP-level roles
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AGI, neuromorphic engineering, or climate tech
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology from top-tier institution
- Published thought leadership in Nature, IEEE, or HBR (minimum 5 citations)
- Experience securing $100M+ R&D budgets from public/private sources
- Fluency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Clearance for government-level innovation projects (TS/SCI preferred)
