Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research across AI, biotech, quantum computing, and climate tech to identify disruptive opportunities
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and future scenario models for 2026-2030 planning cycles
- Partner with product teams to integrate future trends into innovation roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype solutions for emerging societal challenges
- Deliver executive briefings on technological convergence points and their business implications
- Establish external ecosystem partnerships with academic institutions and innovation hubs
- Author thought leadership content positioning company as a 2026 technology pioneer
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futurology, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology R&D leadership
- Proven track record of developing future scenarios that influenced organizational strategy
- Deep expertise in emerging tech trends (quantum, AGI, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to connect technological, social, and economic signals
- Experience with horizon scanning methodologies and scenario planning frameworks
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented innovation strategies
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and executive audiences
