Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026+ strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate emerging technologies and business models
- Translate complex future scenarios into executable strategic priorities for executive leadership
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia to track breakthrough innovations
- Create compelling visualizations and narratives to communicate future possibilities to stakeholders
- Drive adoption of agile innovation methodologies across the organization
- Monitor geopolitical, technological, and environmental megatrends affecting industry landscapes
- Mentor a team of innovation specialists in futures thinking and strategic foresight
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 or high-growth tech companies
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology, Web3)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized innovations or strategic pivots
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Management, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to connect disparate data points into coherent narratives
- Strong proficiency in scenario planning frameworks (e.g., STEEP, Delphi method)
- Published thought leadership on future trends or innovation strategy (preferred)
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., from Association of Professional Futurists)
