Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 2026 technology foresight framework incorporating quantum computing, AGI, and synthetic biology
- Produce annual 'Future Shock' reports predicting disruptive market shifts
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align product development with long-term technological trajectories
- Establish partnerships with academic research labs and national innovation initiatives
- Create strategic roadmaps for ethical AI deployment and human augmentation technologies
- Advise executive team on emerging regulatory landscapes and policy implications
- Represent company at global futurism summits and technology symposiums
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight or technology innovation leadership
- Published work on AI ethics, quantum computing applications, or human augmentation
- Deep familiarity with exponential technology trends (Singularity University alumni preferred)
- Experience with scenario planning and Delphi methodology
- Portfolio demonstrating successful technology roadmap implementations
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Validated network with DARPA, NSF, or national lab researchers
