Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update county GIS databases and interactive mapping applications.
- Analyze complex spatial data to support evidence-based decision-making for county departments.
- Create high-quality maps, charts, and visualizations for public presentations and internal reports.
- Assist in the acquisition, implementation, and troubleshooting of geospatial hardware and software.
- Conduct training sessions and provide technical support to county staff on GIS tools and techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in GIS analysis, cartography, and database management.
- Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro) and SQL databases.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
