Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate public records, files, and databases with a high degree of confidentiality.
- Process incoming mail, applications, and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, memos, and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Coordinate scheduling for department staff and public meetings.
- Perform data entry tasks to update government databases and tracking systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, vendors, and fellow employees.
- Assist in the procurement process by tracking orders and verifying receipts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM) and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the City.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
