Responsibilities
- Manage citizen inquiries and resolve public service requests efficiently
- Coordinate interdepartmental projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Maintain accurate digital records and confidential documentation systems
- Analyze operational data to improve service delivery metrics
- Represent the department at community outreach events and public hearings
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives and disaster response protocols
- Train new staff on departmental policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of government or public sector experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data management software
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (required for field duties)
- Ability to obtain security clearance within 30 days of hire
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and clean background check
- Experience with 311 systems or CRM platforms
