Responsibilities
- Manage and process confidential city documents with strict adherence to government protocols
- Coordinate inter-departmental communications and maintain official records systems
- Assist in budget tracking and financial reporting for assigned programs
- Provide constituent support via phone, email, and in-person inquiries
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership review
- Implement and maintain compliance with federal, state, and municipal regulations
- Train and mentor new administrative staff on department procedures
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in government or regulated industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and government record-keeping systems
- Strong knowledge of Chicago municipal regulations and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
- Valid Illinois driver's license (if position requires field visits)
