Responsibilities
- Manage and process incoming government documents, forms, and correspondence with high accuracy.
- Assist the public via phone and in person, providing clear information regarding state regulations and procedures.
- Maintain and update electronic and physical filing systems to ensure compliance with state records retention laws.
- Coordinate scheduling for department staff and manage meeting logistics for government officials.
- Prepare and distribute weekly reports regarding departmental metrics and performance indicators.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive citizen data and government records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow efficiency and customer service delivery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role within a government or corporate setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with government case management software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen as part of the state hiring process.
