As a Government Administrative Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our city operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Process and manage incoming applications, permits, and public inquiries with high attention to detail.
- Maintain and update digital and physical records in compliance with government regulations.
- Assist senior staff with project coordination, scheduling, and inter-departmental communications.
- Prepare reports and presentations for city council meetings and public stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with municipal codes and provide guidance to the public when necessary.
- Perform data entry tasks to ensure accuracy in our central databases.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or Business preferred.
- Proven experience in administrative support, customer service, or a related government role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government software systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation is required for occasional site visits.
