As a Government Analyst, you will serve as a bridge between complex data and public policy. You will work alongside seasoned professionals to ensure our revenue collection processes are efficient, compliant, and equitable. Responsibilities
- Conduct Data Analysis: Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, forecast revenue, and support decision-making processes for government programs.
- Policy Development: Assist in drafting and reviewing policy briefs and procedural guidelines to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication regarding government initiatives.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with Philadelphia city ordinances and Pennsylvania state laws, identifying areas for process improvement.
- Report Generation: Create comprehensive reports and presentations for city officials and the public, translating technical data into actionable insights.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline administrative workflows and enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government, public administration, or a related analytical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is highly desirable.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Pennsylvania state government structure and local municipal codes.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw logical conclusions.
- Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
