Responsibilities
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for city departments, including filing, archiving, and digital data entry.
- Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, residents, and vendors at the front counter, answering inquiries and directing them to the appropriate staff.
- Administrative Support: Process applications, permits, and forms with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Communication: Answer incoming phone calls professionally and route messages to the correct departments or individuals.
- Data Entry: Input data into various computer systems and databases to ensure compliance with city regulations.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing routine reports and statistics for department heads as required.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clerical, reception, or customer service role is a plus but not mandatory for our paid training program.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Reliability: Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
