Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret municipal datasets to identify trends and support evidence-based policymaking
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports for department heads and city council members
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (HIPAA, FERPA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and project goals
- Present findings to stakeholders through compelling visualizations and executive summaries
- Maintain and optimize data collection systems for accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Public Administration, Statistics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government or public sector data analysis
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau/Power BI
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling and data visualization principles
- Experience with GIS mapping and spatial data analysis
- Certification in government data management (e.g., CDMP) preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality
