Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to support policy decisions and operational improvements within the Department of Transportation.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards for executive leadership and legislative bodies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and implement data-driven solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations, data privacy laws, and internal standards.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables within established budget constraints and agency goals.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in government, public sector, or data analysis roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and Access.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
