Responsibilities
- Analyze municipal financial data and prepare comprehensive budget reports
- Monitor departmental expenditures against allocated funds
- Develop revenue forecasting models for city projects
- Ensure compliance with government accounting standards (GASB)
- Collaborate with department heads on fiscal planning
- Present financial insights to city council members
- Implement internal controls for fund accountability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 3+ years government or municipal finance experience
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software
- Knowledge of North Carolina municipal budget processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion
