Responsibilities
- Analyze municipal budgets and financial reports for compliance
- Prepare grant proposals and federal funding applications
- Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets
- Conduct risk assessments for public projects
- Present financial data to city council and committees
- Implement GAAP standards for government accounting
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 3+ years government or municipal finance experience
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software
- Knowledge of Florida public procurement laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain security clearance
- Valid Florida driver's license
